AWC Radio
Identity for an internet based gospel radio station.
This simple yet effective wordmark was created for a college friend, Kenneth Grimes of Kenertainment, who had created and managed the internet radio broadcast for his place of worship, the Alpha Worship Center in the suburbs of Wilmington, Delaware.

Refraining from any overtly religious symbolism, it does take its inspiration from the subdued logos of National Public Radio and Public Radio International. We thought that this simplicity could help the station go beyond just the altar and reach a wider listening audience.

While this identity is not quite what you would expect from internet based religious programming, it did help give a professional face to the broadcast that plays good music with a better message.
